"Q. What is Pop Art? A. I don't know. Commercial art as a subject, perhaps? It was hard to find a picture so gross that you wouldn't want to hang it; we hung up anything. It was almost normal to frame a rag dripping with paint, because we accepted everything. The only painting, hated by everyone, was advertising art. But they didn't hate him enough, it seems.”
