(Publishers review/translation) 'The volume is dedicated to Lora Lamm (Arosa, 1928), one of the most popular and established illustrators in the field of advertising graphics, active in Milan after the Second World War. Her creations still stand out today for the strong communication skills, for the pleasant and delicate colors, and for the particular lightness of her stroke: a fresh and refined style that make her one of the main contributors to Italian design in the 1950s it's 60s.
Presented in 1954 at La Rinascente by her classmate and colleague Max Huber, she took over the direction of the creative department from 1958 to 1963; in the same years she continues to collaborate with Pirelli, Elisabeth Arden, Niggi, the Centrale del Latte of Milan and with many other companies. The volume presents a rich series of posters and sketches, and a vast assortment of promotional items, such as invitation cards, wrapping paper, tissue paper and packaging, which offer a complete view of the designer's work. The volume is completed by biobibliographical apparatuses.'
