Their place of work is in the loft of a century-old house on the so-called Schipfe, in Zurich's old quarter. From there they have a view of the River Limmat below and of the Lindenhof hill. They work in a big room divided by angularities, without any assistants, without any machine equipment. This atmosphere of seclusion suits the loner Odermatt. He is self-taught, a natural talent, and independent. His living space consists of the immediate surroundings. Here he feels at home. The cat is the darling of both partners.
