(Introduction) 'This first part of the manual describes how to use the BRE corporate mark and gives guidance on the basic design of a number of key items such as stationery, corporate literature and signage. BRE's corporate mark is not new. It has been in use in various forms for many years, evolving over time into the rectangular logo used today. This manual does not introduce any changes to this mark but instead shows how it should be applied to items ranging from stationery and literature to signage and exhibition displays. If the corporate mark and specified typefaces are not consistently applied, BRE's corporate identity will quickly become devalued and the image presented to the world will be a confused and unfocussed one.'
