(Introduction) 'Alphabet Photosetting was formed in 1968. Unlike many of our competitors, we started in circumstances that could hardly be described as grand. We admit to having made a few mistakes but we like to think that the lessons we learnt in those early days still haven't escaped us.
In fact, many of the designers who discovered us in the beginning are still with us today, because, as we've grown, we've held onto our reputation for reliability, quality, efficiency and fast turnround, all at a competitive price.
It's true that there are no more than half a dozen top type shops in London and we're proud to be one of them. This comes about quite simply because we take a genuine interest in type itself. In fact, as you'll see later, we boast a tremendous selection of faces. Friendliness and the willingness of our staff to help you, however difficult your problem, is also important to us and they are always there to assist you, 24 hours a day.'
