(Preface) 'Italy is known as one of the world's design powerhouses, excelling in all disciplines from furniture to fashion. The lesser known area of graphic design also lives up to this stellar reputation. Fedrigoni are celebrating this rich and untapped vein of design history through a curated series of publications and events.'
(Introduction) 'Grignani was a multi-talented professional; a trained architect, painter, photographer and graphic designer. He participated in the Second Futurism art movement where he explored abstract geometric and constructivist art, which gave birth to his interests in visual communication. His works are part of the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art of New York, the Stedelijk Museum of Amsterdam and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, as well as various private collections.'
